John Higgs
John Higgs is a novelist, biographer and cultural historian, whose work traces the impact of countercultural ideas on mainstream culture. He has worked as a television, and videogame producer, and a journalist for The Guardian, The Independent, and Mojo. His book The KLF: Chaos, Magic and the Band who Burned a Million Pounds was widely described as one of the best music books of 2010s. He has also published Stranger Than We Can Imagine: Making Sense of the Twentieth Century, Watling Street: Travels Through Britain and Its Ever-Present Past, as well as 2019’s The Future Starts Here: Adventures in the Twenty-First Century - which he will discuss at Unsound.
