The Kesh Ensemble was formed especially to perform the live debut of Music and Poetry of The Kesh, a 1985 album by the late Ursula K. Le Guin and Todd Barton. Reissued this year, the album is a unique collection of songs played on made up instruments and sung in a made up language, created by Le Guin for her Always Coming Home novel, a quasi-ethnographical book documenting the people of the Kesh and their customs. The ensemble was formed by Agata Harz and Katarzyna Smoluk-Moczydłowska from Księżyc, Ania Broda, Rafał Grozdew, and percussionist Hubert Zemler.
