Miguel Prado
Miguel Prado is an artist, philosopher, and researcher whose work lies at the intersection of music, philosophy, sound art, science, and technology. His work delves into the socio-technological impacts of noise, with a particular focus on uncertainty, information theory, and control systems. Prado's critical examination of technological surveillance and cybernetics investigates how these forces transform noise into a form of "informational heresy," both theoretically and aesthetically. Currently, he serves as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of the Philosophy Department at the University of the West of England. Additionally, he is a member of the band HARRGA and the Noise Research Union. His latest book, The Noise in Noise: Uncertainty, Randomness and Control (2023), is published by Rowman & Littlefield.
