The first night of three nights at Hotel Forum weaves through some of the most inventive and forward-thinking electronic music currently being created with Holly Herndon and Amnesia Scanner, while Lady Gaga collaborator Starlight adds a surprising twist to techno legend Surgeon’s live show. The night also traverses the globe to showcase artists subverting paradigms of 4/4 club music including Nkisi and Angel-Ho from Non Records – a collective of politically-minded African and African diaspora artists, Lexxi and Endgame from London’s Endless crew, and Firmeza from Portugal’s Principe Discos. But that’s not all: there’s also a secret (and blistering) Unsound-commissioned world premiere, Lutto Lento opening with a sneak peek of his forthcoming album, and the singular DJ Nobu from Japan to close.
