Although in recent years Lucas Abela has become known for large scale installations riffing on the idea of video games and pinball, he first became known for shows featuring an unusual instrument - a sheet of glass he vibrates with his mouth, then manipulates and amplifies to create a cacophony of harsh sounds. For audiences, the result is surprising, intense, confusing and dangerous-looking, but also fascinating in terms of form and sound. Lucas appeared at Unsound 2015 as a suprise artist, presenting one of these infamous glass shows for the first time in years.
