Bill Orcutt is an American guitarist known for co-founding the seminal noise rock band Harry Pussy and his improvised works, both solo and with such artists as Chris Corsano, Peter Brötzmann, Loren Mazzacane Connors and the Bishop brothers. Orcutt's music is raw, minimalistic and draws on early American guitar traditions such as primitivism or blues, but he has also managed to craft his own fascinating style, often dissonant and always highly unpredictable, utilising an acoustic guitar with only four strings.
