Piotr Kurek's Piętnastka - "a project borne of love for things old and mysterious" - is one of the most interesting enterprises to have emerged from the tape revival movement. His "Dalia" cassette, released on Poland's Sangoplasmo label in 2011, explores psychedelic, woozy soundscapes and subcutaneous tensions crawling under the layers of nostalgic, fairytale-like haze. In Piętnastka's compositions, the influences of minimal music and synthesised folk merge together into a weird and deeply convincing form of Polish hauntology.

Drummer Hubert Zemler is usually part of the live line up for Piętnastka, and will appear with Kurek at Unsound Festival New York 2014.
