Gas is the most legendary of Wolfgang Voigt’s many projects. The Cologne-based musician - known for co-founding the influential Kompakt label - recently revived this alias after a 17 year hiatus, returning with the excellent album “Narkopop”. It continues the trajectory of his cult albums “Gas”, “Zauberberg”, “Königsforst” and “Pop”, seamlessly blending beautiful ambience created through the manipulation of classical samples with a gentle techno pulse.
