Mat Dryhurst

Mat Dryhurst is an artist, musician, theorist and vociferous advocate for decentralization as an ideological necessity for independent musicians. He developed the Saga publishing framework to allow artists to take control of every discrete instance of their work online, and works solo and in collaboration with his partner Holly Herndon. He has worked with independent record labels, including PAN and Southern Records, and non-profit agencies such as San Francisco’s Gray Area. He is also involved with Resonate, a blockchain-based streaming platform founded in Berlin. He is also a lecturer at Tisch School of the Arts in New York.
