Jan Sowa

Jan Sowa is a theorist and researcher, holding a PhD in sociology. His research and teaching assignments have taken him to several academic and non-academic institutions in Poland and abroad, including the University of São Paulo, Warsaw University and Akademie der Künste der Welt in Cologne. He is also active outside of the academic field as a curator and journalist. He was a co-creator of Ha!art publishing house and Goldex Poldex co-op, and his book The King’s Phantom Body was one of the most discussed Polish academic works in recent years. Jan currently works as the Curator of Discursive Programs and Research of Biennale Warszawa.
