RP Boo is regarded by many as the main originator of Footwork music, a sound he began developing in the late 90s, influenced by House and Juke. His scrambled, syncopated drum patterns went on to influence many younger Chicago producers, but worldwide recognition came only recently thanks to the Planet Mu label. First featured on their “Bangs and Works” compilations, in 2013 RP Boo released his fantastic debut album “Legacy”, which takes the footwork genre into new experimental directions. RP Boo is now travelling to Europe for the first time in his life to play at Unsound.
