James Ferraro is a prolific experimental musician known for his extensive and varied discography released via The Skaters, under a plethora of aliases and his own name. This includes “Far Side Virtual”, an influential album named the best of 2011 by “The Wire”. At Unsound he will launch “NYC, HELL 3:00 AM”, his new release on Hippos in Tanks, combining 9/11 news coverage, surveillance camera audio, TV ads and other sources to create "a surreal psychological sculpture of American decay and confusion, a map of New York's nihilism and its self referential hedonism".
