Forest Swords took the electronic music world by storm with his 2010 LP “Dagger Paths”. It was a remarkably assured debut, with a sound combining textured drones, murky dub and a love for seemingly disparate genres like R&B and drone folk. Forest Swords is not an artist to thoughtlessly ride the hype wave, and after a long period of silence, gestation and work, his new album will be released this year on Tri Angle, a label devoted to hazy new forms of dark music.
