Altar of Plagues is an Irish black metal band driven by a desire to experiment and broaden the definition of the genre, often incorporating elements of ambient and electronic music in their work. This is most apparent in their opus magnum “Teethed Glory and Injury”; written with band’s demise in mind, it is their most eclectic and visceral release. The band has selected Unsound as the location for their final concert, whilst front man James Kelly will go on to create music via his Wife project, released on Tri Angle Records.
