Once again, we invite people passionate about music, art and independent culture to join the Unsound team during the 21st edition of the festival and become a part of our volunteer crew.

Every year, we invite people to work in various areas and departments, from supporting our tech team and taking care of artists to assisting the audience, handling ticket and merch sales, and providing organizational support during panel discussions and workshops. Volunteering at Unsound is an opportunity to gain experience in organizing cultural events and to establish new connections and friendships. The team of Unsound volunteers consists of a group of committed, diverse, creative and mutually inspiring people.

FAQ

What is the timeframe for Unsound volunteering?

The most intense period of volunteering takes place during the festival week, this year between 1st – 8th October. We will also need support in the preparatory period in September, and immediately after the end of the festival. Please specify your individual availability in the application form.

Can I volunteer if I’m under 18?

No, to participate as a volunteer you need to be 18 or over at the date of the event.

I’m a non-Polish speaker – can I still apply?

Yes. The majority of our team are Polish speakers but we also communicate in English on a daily basis. Due to Unsound being an international event, a significant part of our guests, artists, and audience is not Polish, which means that in most areas it will be necessary to be fluent in English.

Can I obtain a volunteering certificate and references?

Yes, each volunteer will receive a volunteering certificate after the end of the festival. Volunteers who wish to receive further feedback also receive references based on an evaluation of the whole team they have worked with.

Can I complete my student internship as part of volunteering?

Yes, you can do your student internship as part of volunteering during the festival. If you are planning your internship during the festival, you should indicate this in the application form as well as during the individual interview.
