Olga Drenda

Writer, anthropologist and translator Olga Drenda is fascinated by the period of time in the late 1980s and '90s known as the transformation years, when Polish society opened up and the country's dominant economic model shifted. Running the Duchologia website since 2012 and authoring the book 'Duchologia polska' (Polish Hauntology), she's dedicated to the transformation era's daily life and visual landscape, examining vernacular design and engineering, as well as comedy. Drenda is also obsessed with music, occasionally digging through her archive of rare pop and disco cassettes to play a rare DJ set.
