Berlin-based sound artist and DJ Silvia Jiménez Alvarez aka JASSS has been sharpening her musical instincts since she cut her teeth spinning on the Spanish underground in her early 20s. Now an acclaimed selector and in-demand producer, she skates through genres and tempos with extraordinary skill and ease, as comfortable curating psychedelic, freeform narratives in the small hours as she is commanding peak-time euphoria. JASSS's personality shines brightest when she goes head-to-head with her peers, and at Unsound this year she'll be appearing alongside Emma dj for the first time.

Hailing from Finland but currently resident in Paris, Emma dj has been prolifically issuing tapes, mixes and 12"s since 2019, melting industrial scrapes and drones into gritty, trap-inspired vignettes. He's released records on YOUTH, L.I.E.S., Lavibe and Lee Gamble's UIQ where he channeled his most experimental inclinations, matching his syrupy productions with blistering features from Rainy Miller, Simo Cell, Bambounou and others. As a DJ, he traverses the permeable membrane between Soundcloud rap, hyperpop, global club and hard dance, flitting between styles like he's channel surfing on cable.
