On his crushingly beautiful latest album 'Parfum', Polish producer Mateusz Olszewski reduces the essence of dub techno to a faint knock, enlisting vocalists YL Hooi and Metoronori, and saxophonist Patrick Shiroishi to help realize his widescreen vision. Olszewski has been developing his vaporous sound for some time now, releasing records on Mondoj, Perfect Aesthetics and czaszka rec, but it's here where he's hit upon his most intimate sound, processing vocals into ASMR tickles and using evocative field recordings to conjure haunted dreamscapes.
