New shows tonight include an Unsound-commission from British artist Lee Gamble, who will collaborate with Spanish action artist Candela Capitán, as well two other dancers, and Warsaw lighting designer Jacqueline Sobiszewski, to present a live performance of Models, his album of the same name. Dealing with mimicry and simulation, Models works with a set of simulated singing voices in an almost wordless language, both AI-generated and synthetic – widescreen memories that reverberate across the last few decades of pop history.

After a long absence, Ben Frost returns to Unsound to premiere his first new music since 2017, a live collaboration with progressive metal guitarist Greg Kubacki of US band Carbomb, with synaesthetic video and light design from Tarik Barri.

Berlin-based Peruvian artists Ale Hop and Laura Robles’ live show follows their debut collaborative album Agua Dulce, a radical deconstruction of traditional rhythms of the Peruvian coast centred around the cajón, a percussion instrument Black slaves created from wooden fruit boxes. Tonight, Robles plays on a hand-made electric cajón, accompanied by Ale Hop on abstract electronics and guitar.
