Description
After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24th, local sound artists, composers, musicians, DJs, curators and promoters were forced to change the direction of their activities, or temporarily leave for other countries. How has the Ukrainian music scene been transformed by the Russian invasion, what challenges does the local industry face, and how has it reacted to the events of the war? Participants include DJ, musician and curator Poly Chain; sound artist and founder of the Muscat label Dmytro Nikolaienko; and electronic musician and composer Heinali. Moderating and contributing is Kateryna Rusetska from Construction Festival and the Dnipro Center for Contemporary Culture. This conversation will be held in English.
