Listening Session / Performance: Fragments for Affinity

Lou Drago’s recent research solicits potential affinities between those who are oppressed under neoliberalism in an attempt to inspire a renewed sense of the collective imagination among a disaffected and fragmented left. Fragments for Affinity combines theoretical/experiential research with Drago’s ongoing sound and live-art practice, which creates and hosts intimate environments for contemplation. Drago uses the term 'listening-occasion' to describe this live-art format, inspired by collaborator Isabel Lewis's concept of 'Occasions' and Pauline Oliveros's term 'deep listening'.
