Anne Guthrie is a composer, acoustician, sound recordist and French horn player based in Brooklyn. She combines contemporary composition/improvisation with the natural acoustic phenomena of unique architectural spaces through minimal processing of field recordings, as heard on her recent solo albums “Codiaeum variegatum” and “Perhaps A Favorable Organic Moment”, as well as many collaborations. She also plays in an electroacoustic improv duo Fraufraulein with Billy Gomberg. As part of Listening Stations, Anne will present a mix of sonic phenomena encountered in various parts of New York.
