The second club night at Sugar features a debut Australian appearance by DJ Lag, one of the originators of gqom. The South African subgenre of house music is taking the club world by storm, infecting sets of many trailblazing DJs - tonight presented in its pure form. Roza Terenzi is an Australian house music star in the making, mixing fidgety rhythms with lush atmospheres. Her prolific output has already been tipped by Resident Advisor, who said she can't keep still - you won't either! Adelaide’s own Emily Glass opens, a young producer and DJ experimenting with ambient and club sounds, turning pop, hip hop, and reggaeton into an uncanny, cybernetic vision. Connecting different worlds is Giant Swan’s Mun Sing with a solo show exploring rough but groovy industrial music sourced in the current club rhythms.
