Hieroglyphic Being
Described by The Wire as "perhaps House's only card-carrying Afro-Futurist,” Chicago’s sound and noise artist Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being combines dance music with jazz and experimentation, owing as much to the heroes of Chicago house as to Sun Ra. Extremely prolific, Moss has released 22 albums in 4 years (!) under the Hieroglyphic Being moniker, mainly on his own Mathematics imprint.
He will not only play solo at Unsound 2012, but also give the world premiere of Interplanetary Prophets, his collaboration with ITAL.
