LA Vampires is an amorphous projected headed by Not Not Fun label founder / manager Amanda Brown, also known for the now-defunct Pocahaunted. The band has a long history of collaborating with friends such as Zola Jesus, Matrix Metals and most recently Ital.

Their music is made up of paranoid dub sounds, slow-motion beats, tape loops, fuzzy synth lines, heavy bass grooves - and of course Amanda's vocals. Though it has a consistently lo-fi sound that perhaps goes lower than anyone else, this is constantly evolving music, depending on who LA Vampires hook up with - but this is always original stuff.
