Deaf Center is a duo comprised of Norwegians Erik Skodvin and Otto Totland. Their last album was the critically acclaimed “Pale Ravine.” After a six-year break, their new work is “Owl Splinters,” which has also garnished enthusiastic reviews.

“Owl Splinters” sees the duo shift beyond the lo-fidelity techniques of their previous sound to create music that is more vibrant, full of evocative detailing and widescreen atmospherics. The spectacular dark ambient palette gives Totland’s piano and Skodvin’s cello more time to breathe.

Deaf Center’s live shows are rare, but well worth attending, to immerse yourself in this unique music full of both darkness and romance.
