2562 is Dave Huismans, a producer based in The Hague, Netherlands. His music as 2562 gained attention for the forward-thinking way it merged techno and dubstep, encapsulated on the debut album “Aerial”, released in 2008. His subsequent music continued 2562’s innovative rhythmic experiments, leading to this year’s album “Fever” in which every sound used is sampled from disco records.
Jonny Mugwump wrote of it in Fact Magazine: “What is truly remarkable about Fever is its coherence; its unique sonic stamp – every piece sounds like it belongs here and simply couldn’t exist anywhere else. It is cohesive structurally, texturally and atmospherically, and as 2562′s third album, represents the pinnacle thus far of a staggering career arc – a magnificent achievement in itself.”
Huismans also releases music as A Made Up Sound and Dogdaze.
