Raime is a UK duo releasing on The Blackest Black, a new label. The tracks comprising their EP - coming out in September - are not dancefloor-aimed, but rather slow, claustrophobic, and devotional works. They use submerged samples from a number of early 1980s goth and industrial records, to create richly detailed music designed to be listened to alone and at high volume. There are shades of Senking, Muslimgauze, Lull, Shackleton, Pan Sonic, Prurient, Jon Hassell, Coil and the more esoteric end of Rhythm & Sound in their sound.
