Black to Comm is a project of Marc Richter, founder of Germany's superb Decorder label. He is an artist at the forefront of a current surge in music with roots in drone-based forms, both ominous and light. Although often working with longer forms, his 2009 album "Alphabet 68" received wide praise for the way it mixed noise and industrial elements with sparse ambient soundscapes, tape/radio hiss and strikingly beautiful melodies in a surprisingly succinct fashion. Marc will present Black to Comm as a trio at Unsound, utilizing both acoustic and electronic instruments. Their performance will be accompanied by visuals related to Unsound's horror theme.
