Jazkamer links two Norwegian composer/musicians: John Hegre (guitar) and Lasse Marhaug (electronics). Together they create a vast, blistering sound that mixes harsh noise, drone and black metal soundscapes. With many releases on labels such as Smalltown Supersound and Staaplat, they have also collaborated with the likes of Merzbow and Maja Ratke. In 2010, the prolofic band has had the lofty ambition to release an album for every month of the year. In the words of Brainwashed, Jazkamer "is using the method to not only try out new things, but also to continue to refine their own sound that clashes noise and drone sounds with a heavy metal sensibility." At Unsound they will perform as a trio, with Nils Are Drønen on drums.
