Austrian artist Dorian Concept is a self-taught pianist who brings together burning synthlines, jazz flair, abstract electronics and futuristic beats to create music drawing on many sources. To quote Boomkat writing of his 2009 EP "Trilingual Dance Sexperience": "it sounds like Shed jamming with Rustie and Squarepusher on Crystal Meth. Either way, it's fucking extraordinary." This EP was followed by the debut album "When Planets Explode", which received general critical acclaim and even more enthustiastic comparisons, with everyone from Prefuse 73 to John Coltrane and Flying Lotus. But in the end Dorian Concept has managed to create his own sound, one that seems destined to have longevity.
