Kode9 is Steve Goodman, one of the most highly regarded names in dubstep, for his own unique productions as well as his highly influential label, Hyperdub. Hyperdub has released work by artists such as Burial, The Bug, Warrior Queen, Zomby and Ikonika. In his project with Space Ape, Kode9 provides music, while Space Ape speaks a kind of dub poetry. As well as their 12 “’s, Kode9&Space Ape’s album debut was “Memories of The Future”, and they are due to release a new EP this year. Their live shows are an intense, memorable experience, drawing out tension via bass, experimentation and vocals, whilst referring to a wide range of music history.
