Biosphere – Gier Jensen – is one of the legendary names in ambient / electronic music. Residing in Northern Norway, near the Arctic Circle, he has found the focus to slowly and steadily create a self-contained aural universe, made up of reflective and immersive sound sculptures. For almost fifteen years he has released a string of critically acclaimed albums, the most known being Sub Strata, regularly placed in the best ambient albums of all time. Others include Cirque, Dropsonde, Autour de la Lune and Shenzhou, which sources old vinyl records by Debussy. His most recent offering is 2009’s live album, “Wireless”, which gives a perspective on his catalogue by weaving various Biosphere pieces into a single, unfolding narrative. For over a decade, his massive fan base in Poland has been waiting for a Biosphere show, and there could be no better place for such an event than the stunning setting of St Katherine’s 15^th century gothic church. Biosphere’s show will be accompanied with visuals.
