Kids Electronic Music Band
Kids-Patch is a series dedicated to new children's creativity. Each event consists of several workshops for kids (aged 5-12), related to the fields of music, graphic art, performance and new media. It is a 100% participative program with a completely new, intuitive, inventive and forward-thinking approach to children's education in the context of arts and culture. A very specific outcome of the approach is that a child goes through the complete process of developing a piece of art or a performance: from getting to know the "instruments", learning how to use them, to practicing and getting on a stage and performing.
The Kids Electronic Music Workshop at Unsound New York Festival is focused on producers of electronic music showing kids and young adults how to create music using simple technologies, found objects, and their own ingenuity. Participants will perform in Le Poisson Rouge on Wednesday, opening a night of experimental music. Co-presented with Dis-Patch and Communikey festivals, from Serbia and Boulder, Colorado.
