UK legend Andy Stott is a producer whose reputation has slowly built over time, for music released on the Modern Love label. Recently, he has twisted the dub-techno territory in which he works to create a dark, awe-inspiring sound which shares much in common with Actress and T++, yet remains its own thing.

His 2011 release "Passed Me By" is one of the year's best, decidely of the moment and reaching beyond in its incorporation of a wide, fragmented pallate of styles and influences.
