Unsound Brussels 2025

On 14 and 15 February 2025, Unsound makes its debut in Brussels with a two-day festival. With roots in Kraków and editions in New York, Toronto, and Adelaide, Unsound has built a worldwide reputation.

The festival begins on 14 February at Bozar, showcasing the innovative sounds of Polish composer Piotr Kurek, EGO DEATH, the collaboration of Aho Ssan and cellist Resina and the experimental creations of UK artist Rainy Miller.

On 15 February, Bozar continues to host an inspiring lineup featuring Jennifer Walshe for a thought-provoking talk about AI, Art & Music connected to her recent book, Raphael Rogiński & Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė presenting Žaltys, the hauntingly beautiful audiovisual project Гільдеґарда (Hildegarde) by Ukrainian duo Heinali & Yasia, and the dynamic duo AKA HEX, a collaboration between Aïsha Devi and Slikback.

“Expect a wide range of contemporary music: from emerging talent to leftfield and experimental work. Regardless of genres, Unsound goes for a full-on radical sound. All concerts at Bozar will take place in Terarken. This venue was newly renovated to host electronic artists and performances in an open, unseated, underground space.”

Anton Vanderhasselt, Programmer at Bozar

The festival wraps up in style on the evening of 15 February with a Clubnight at Reset, featuring a diverse lineup: Polish DJ and promoter gummi, Brussels-based M I M I blending Afro-European heritage with cosmic rhythms; Polish experimental producer 2K88, merging UK club sounds with Polish rap nostalgia; and Moroccan-Belgian DJ ojoo, mixing dancehall, grime, and ambient textures. Crystallmess is a French producer and artist whose DJ sets bring an abrasive sound to the dancefloor. Irish-Chilean producer Sega Bodega joins UK heavyweight Lee Gamble for a premiere b2b, while Slikback delivers intense, genre-defying productions. British producer and DJ aya energizes with UK-club rooted weirdness, and Unsound resident Olivia joins Belgian DJ Shoplifter for an eclectic b2b journey through electro, techno, and broken beats.
