Workshop: Nature Documentary Hacking

Can we create new collective stories within the nature documentary’s cultural hegemonies and “greenwashed” politics? This experimental workshop by live cinema artist Dr. Amy Cutler re-sites the “nature documentary” not as passively consumed televisual fable, but as shared and even interventionist practice. Using smartphones, participants will live hack and collaboratively re-write the “tyranny of formula” of the nature documentary and its narrative voice-over, finding new routes to survival and solidarity within.
