ZULI

Hailing from the Egyptian capital Cairo, ZULI took a leap into the unknown earlier this year when he released 'Lambda', a wide-reaching and personal album that blurs the boundaries between ambient, trip-hop, chamber pop and symphonic noise. Up until then, he'd been best known for his experimental dancefloor deployments, such as the anthemic 'Trigger Finger', released on Lee Gamble's UIQ imprint, but ZULI's always been motivated by a desire to counter expectations. Back in Cairo, he was notorious for his work with local rappers, like Abyusif, who appeared on his 2018 album 'Terminal', and since then he's been tirelessly innovating and collaborating, figuring out a sound that's all his own.
