Seb Wheeler

Seb Wheeler is a digital strategist and music and digital media writer. He's worked at the intersection of music and digital since 2011, leading global campaigns for music companies such as EMI, Mixmag and One House. He writes the Waste Mail and Digital Waste newsletters and is the curator and resident DJ for Tropical Waste, the London club night that is dedicated to platforming cutting-edge club music. In 2017 Seb suffered a sudden ear injury while he was sleeping, leaving him with severe hearing loss and extreme tinnitus in his right ear. He has since learned to live with hearing loss and tinnitus and was the Guest Editor of Mixmag's Tinnitus Awareness in February 2024. His tinnitus rings as loud as ever but he's happily back to being front left in the club – with earplugs in of course!
