Pete Swanson

You may know Pete Swanson as one half of Yellow Swans, the American psychedelic noise duo that toured relentlessly during their initial period of activity from 2001–2008. Pete’s also responsible for solo works Punk Authority and Man with Potential, albums that convey a feral, improvisational approach to electronic dance music. Freedom To Spend is a label run by Pete along with Jed Bindeman and Matt Werth that focuses on reissuing lost and obscure music. Yellow Swans is back as of 2023, Freedom To Spend is still putting records out at a steady clip and have a monthly show on NTS, Pete keeps collecting records and tapes and scrambling for new sounds.
