Nina Franklin Lupini

Lupini has slowly, quietly established herself as a pivotal figure in the North West’s music scene. Now introduced to a wider audience via the ‘DJ Mag Best Radio Show’ winning NTS residency (and a BBC Radio 1 show with Benji B), Lupini is a DJ, broadcaster, workshop facilitator and all-round music enthusiast. Lupini was the station manager and programmer at Melodic Distraction Radio for five years, and as a performer has one foot in the club and the other in the home hifi, shifting seamlessly from ambient, to mutant swung techno, industrial, dub-wise sludge and noisy post punk. This eclecticism is reflected in the artists Lupini’'s played alongside, such as experimental icons like Terry Riley, Lucrecia Dalt, Laila Sakini, Joanne Robertson, ML Buch and Claire Rousay, and club legends Vladimir Ivkovic, Josey Rebelle, Nkisi, Helena Hauff and Batu.
