Based in Copenhagen, composer, producer, guitarist and vocalist Marie Louise Buch makes DIY pop music that shifts effortlessly between the past and the present: its roots are in hook-laden, radio-friendly songwriting, but the production transports it into a fresher digital reality. After releasing her debut EP 'Fleshy' in 2017, Buch notched up significant acclaim for her 2020 debut album 'Skinned', breaking out last year with the astonishing 'Suntub', a relentlessly catchy set of harmony-laced experiments that twisted alt-rock with hyperpop. She sees her compositional process as almost architectural, and in her live shows, builds out her intimate productions with open-tuned 7-string guitars, synths and generators.
