Mateusz Witkowski

Mateusz Witkowski (born 1989) – journalist, podcaster, literary and music critic. Editor-in-chief and co-founder of Popmoderna.pl. He publishes, among others, in Dwutygodnik and Czas Kultury, in the past his texts were also published in Gazeta Wyborcza and Teraz Rock as well as on Gazeta.pl and Wirtualna Polska. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2018 and 2020. He teaches popular music at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Together with Bartek Przybyszewski, he co-creates Podcastex – a podcast about the 90s and 00s, awarded in the Influencers Live 2022 and Best Stream Awards 2023. (Last year, their joint book Polskie millennium. What we remember from 1999-2005 was published.) He believes exclusively in Alessandro Del Piero.
