What can we possibly say about aya that hasn't already been said? The rambunctious northerner wowed intrepid listeners with her Hyperdub-released 'im hole' in 2021, an eccentric (and often deliriously funny) tangle of polyrhythms, sweaty rave nods and introspective poems, and she's poised to follow it up with a sequel. Her exclusive live set for Unsound Kraków 2024 will lift the lid on her new material, and while we're not sure exactly what to expect, her recent DJ sets have been jam packed with ear-pummeling drill obscurities, provincial dancefloor bangers and hybridized global experiments.
