Artist Talk: Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe
FREE ENTRY
Description
Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe is a sound artist and musician who performs solo compositions based around voice and extended modular synthesis techniques. For nearly two decades, Lowe has created atmospheric experimental music in the progressive rock band 90 Day Men, the doom metal band Om, the noise supergroup Singer and solo as Lichens, as well as under his own name. Most recently, he composed the score for the film Candyman, which saw him manipulating field recordings of the actors and his own voice into apparitions of themselves and launching his music into the mainstream and cinematic legacy. Following the live premiere of the Candyman score, Robert will engage in conversation with author and fellow musician DeForrest Brown, Jr.
