Unsound London teams up with Tropical Waste to present the UK debuts of Safety Trance and Abadir on May 6

Tropical Waste Unsound London Hackney May Party

Unsound Festival has added to its London activity this May by teaming up with experimental club night Tropical Waste to present the UK debuts of Safety Trance and Abadir.

The event will take place on Saturday May 6 and is the official afterparty for Unsound London’s boundary-pushing showcase at the Barbican with Robin Fox, Sofie Birch and Antonina Nowacka and avant-garde supergroup Osmium - which features Hildur Guðnadóttir, Sam Slater, James Ginzburg, and Rully Shabara.

Following the Barbican show, Unsound and Tropical Waste will take over The Glove That Fits in Hackney for a night of cutting-edge club music and two important UK debuts. Venezuelan artist and Arca collaborator Safety Trance will showcase his incendiary Latin club sound while Egyptian producer Abadir will drop his pioneering fusion of Maqsoum folk music and jungle, footwork, grime, dancehall and Jersey Club.

Rising Warsaw DJ and FURDA club night founder Hermeneia will also play, with Tropical Waste curator Seb on resident DJ duties. Tickets available here.

The occasion marks Unsound London’s return to the capital for the first time in five years, with Tropical Waste continuing its run of hosting UK debuts, having previously premiered performances by Lotic, Toxe, Zora Jones, Dinamarca and Fis since 2013.
