SYMPOSPHERE
Description
The festival takes over the Kraków Philharmonic Hall to present And the Sun Stood Still by Teoniki Rożynek and Aleksandra Słyż, two of Poland’s leading younger composers. Exploring stillness and breath, this striking work was originally commissioned for the Unsound-produced Ephemera Festival in Warsaw, but this expanded performance features vocalists and a larger horn section assembled by Spółdzielnia Muzyczna contemporary ensemble. Following is composer, singer and actor Keeley Forsyth with a powerful and intimate acoustic show. Keeley will be joined by Matthew Bourne on piano, harmonium and organ, with a performance that centres around new and unheard tracks.
