SKI

Polish drummer and producer Damian Kowalski established the SKI project last year as a way to re-contextualize his percussion work. Using an amplified drum kit without metronomes or overdubs, he makes music that injects adrenaline and pure feeling into rhythms gleaned from footwork, jungle, dubstep and techno, focusing purely on the groove itself. His debut album is soon to be released by Pointless Geometry, and emphasizes the texture and playfulness of his sounds, without shying from the dancefloor.
