Dynasonic

Three-piece 'dubwave' outfit Dynasonic - made up of drummer Mateusz Rychlicki, bassist Adam Sołtysik and Mateusz Rosiński on electronics - blend field recordings and synthesized bleeps into a simmering broth of contemporary, bass-heavy dub. This year they released their powerful self-titled third album, a techno-inspired rattle that uses smoked-out Berlin grooves to trace out the topogrophy of the western Polish borderlands. Mastered by legendary bass scientist Stefan Betke, aka Pole, it's a weighty, genre-melting trip that submerges its crackling pulses beneath waves of tense electronics and rousing, dubwise rhythms.
