claire rousay & Martyna Basta
Originally trained as a percussionist, LA-based sound artist claire rousay writes deeply personal, emotionally-charged sonic poems that place everyday sounds under the microscope. Over the last few years she collaborated with an impressive set of like-minded artists, including more eaze, LEYA, Mabe Fratti, Patrick Shiroishi and of course, Martyna Basta. Krakow-based composer shares rousay's interest in diaristic free expression. This year she reconciled her differences with acoustic instruments, bringing guitar and zither into the frame on "Slowly Forgetting, Barely Remembering", a hazy ASMR-flecked dream that features a hallucinatory electro-acoustic collaboration with rousay.
